About Materials

WE USE ONLY THE FINEST MATERIALS:

Sterling Silver 925
We use Sterling silver, fine silver and reticulating silver. Each has it's special applications. Fine silver is pure silver, it is too soft for many uses in jewelry but can be used for handmade mesh chains and decorative granulation. Sterling silver is alloyed with other metals such as copper and zinc. To give it enough strength to stand up to the rigors of daily wear and to be hammered into hollow pieces. Reticulating silver is a special alloy containing more copper. It forms wonderful rippled surface patterns when carefully heated to just below melting point and makes high quality sterling silver jewelry.

Semi Precious Gemstones , Freshwater Pearls and Authentic Swarovski Crystals
We buy quality semi precious gemstones , freshwater pearls and authentic Swarovski crystals from reputable dealers. It is not worth our time to use inferior quality materials. We want you to be completely satisfied with the gemstone jewelry , pearl jewelry and Swarovski Jewelry you buy from us.

Goldfilled

Gold-filled is made from a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal. Goldfilled jewelry can be up to 100 times thicker compared to regular gold plated jewelry.  Gold filled quality is defined in the US by the FTC and requires stamped gold filled items to contain a minimum amount of 1/10 the weight of the goldfilled item.
For example – If an item is marked 1/20  12K g.f , then the item is gold based of at least 1/20 the weight of the finished piece.

Gold-filled is often referred to as “rolled gold” and can last a lifetime under normal wear conditions. 1/20 12kt GF is the most common stamp you will find on gold-filled jewelry.
